The Ojai Valley Chamber of Commerce has been the voice of business in the Ojai Valley since incorporating in January, 1956. We have a diverse and active membership. Our mission is to support the interests and promote the economic vitality of our members. We do this in a number of ways. We maintain a solid working relationship with the City of Ojai through direct communication on behalf of our members and on general issues. The Chamber has representation at City Council and Planning Commission meetings. The Chamber gives referrals to its members when visitors come into our office. We promote our tourism industry by managing the Ojai Tourism Improvement District, which markets the entire Ojai Valley.
The Chamber does this with a staff of two, a Board of Directors that floats between 9 and 15, and a membership just under 300. With a larger membership we would be even stronger. Join the Ojai Valley Chamber of Commerce today. Fillout our application by clicking here or come by the office at 206 N. Signal, Suite “P” (enter off Aliso St.), or call us at 805-646-8126.
"The Ojai Valley Chamber of Commerce is about community and creating a bridge between local businesses and local residents. We are fortunate to have such an involved Chamber staff representing us business owners (whether we work downtown or work from home). We’re all in this together!" - Brenda Spandrio, owner The Declutter Lady
"As a member of the Ojai Valley Chamber of Commerce, Derby and Derby takes full advantage of all the benefits that are offered. We have been in the Business Referral Group for over 3 years, go to every monthly mixer and the annual Gala. We are active in the Garden Tour and Gala committees, and have utilized their website www.ojaichamber.org to the fullest extent: video, pictures and description with a link to our website. The Chamber is an amazing business marketing tool. Throw yourself into it, and you will meet a great group of people.
Initially we joined the Chamber years ago but weren’t active at all. Looking back, the reason for that was because we didn’t embrace all that they offered. After many years of paying dues, we dropped out and didn’t come back until about 5 years ago. We went to a December mixer (which is always well attended and very festive!) and met a few people that were in the BRG who asked us to take a look. Starting in January of the next year we were hooked. Great group of like-minded individuals helping you with marketing tips, working on your “elevator speech” and giving you referrals. We are now very active in the lunchtime BRG! For a new businessperson looking for ways to improve their business, join the Chamber and see what you think!" -Donna Lloyd, Vice President Derby and Derby, Inc.
"Serving on the board for the Ojai Valley Chamber of Commerce has made me aware of all the work our Chamber - the board, Norma Gonzalez, and especially CEO Scott Eicher - does for local businesses on a daily basis. One of the Chamber's most significant accomplishments is the start-up and management of the Ojai Visitors Bureau which has increased business with quality tourists. The Lavender Inn is committed to support the business community by being a member of the Chamber of Commerce!" Kathy Hartley owner - The Lavender Inn
